Ask HN: Can we increase max submission title length to more than 80 chars
Often have to winnow down the title of a paper because it's slightly over 80 characters.
- pketh 4y agoOftentimes constraints are a feature. What was the title of the paper and what did you winnow it down to? If the latter is clearer, then maybe the constraint does more good than bad
- Vladimof 4y agoTruly limiting... Specially when they don't want you to edit the title...
- muzani 4y agoSometimes I wish HN comes with a poll to see how popular these feature requests are. You don't exactly want to downvote a suggestion, but I think things like this and the lack of notifications are fine.
- OJFord 4y agoOP could have submitted it as a poll.
