People I've known who do sewing and needlework and stuff seem to have perennial stories about clueless people asking if they can buy or commission a piece without the vaguest concept of how much time and effort went into the one on display. There is so much marketing around "hand crafted" products that people forget it's all either fake/weasel words or done in very low wage places.
