I have always been skeptically on those on road auto-driving and I double whether can get to the ready-to-deploy ever. The logic is simple: our road environment is so volatile and even best trained drivers make deadly mistakes. Such environment is obviously cannot be handled by a bunch of if-else. To allow those techs to mature, we'll need some AI can UNDERSTAND the situation and make near optimal or optimal decisions accordingly. Unfortunately we are nowhere close to that.
