How Starlink Changed the War on the Ground

How can we tell if this is true, or some kind of Elon Musk submarine PR hot? Politico is not a military/strategy publication, it's "inside baseball" for politics, all the points scoring and petty squabbling that politicians do. Seems like an unusual place for this material to appear.

Yeah, I read this but decided not to upvote it for similar reasons. Surely the Ukranian military has some form of communications besides the civilian cellular network, right? What is it?

It seems unlikely the Ukrainian military would take a break from the war just to help Elon’s PR stunt. https://twitter.com/DefenceU/status/1535637982824235008 https://twitter.com/DefenceU/status/1535637982824235008 There are a number of other tweets from Ukrainian military describing how it’s being used. The US military has also commented https://www.pcmag.com/news/pentagon-impressed-by-starlinks-fast-signal-jamming-workaround-in-ukraine https://www.pcmag.com/news/pentagon-impressed-by-starlinks-f... Some people just can’t seem to believe Musk or his companies can do good.

Elon Musk aside...I consider Politico to be the best political news site around. Straight facts and minimal ideology. Not surprised they sold for $1 billion [1], which is astronomical for a digital-only news outlet. 1- https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/26/axel-springer-to-buy-politico.html https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/26/axel-springer-to-buy-politic...
