Losing eGPU really hurts.
I had three-up before, and now I’m back to the laptop and one central display.
I could get a cheap DisplayLink hub but the performance is poor and I’m not happy with granting their driver screen recording permission. Or trusting it at all tbh.
- bombcar 4y agoI really don't want to give up my four external monitors, so I will have to wait until I can get the M1 Max or something.
- highwaylights 4y agoIt’s unfortunate. In every other way it’s been an almost shocking leap forward, on the order of the HDD -> SSD transition when that happened. For me, the performance and longevity I’ve been getting from a machine this light and without fans feels borderline unbelievable. Even now almost two years later.
