I'm in the industry and this is more true than anyone wants to admit. Googles entire business model depends on building enough "Cool Shit", and hiring the "Best and Brightest" to reputation wash the fact that most of their GDN / AdX / GAM revenue is click-tricking navigation/actions and misclicks.
