Never going to happen.. 1.5 years.. Those phones would have to be in development now.. And aren't the power adaptors adaptive to the phones they're built for?

And aren't the power adaptors adaptive to the phones they're built for? A "universal" charger would have to be adaptive, and respond to API's from the phone. And that charger would also have to be forward compatible. Able to predict battery charging tech that hasn't been invented yet.
- mytailorisrich 4y agoIt's actually only the charging port. So all new devices must have an USB-C charging port from autumn 2024, laptops get an extra 40 months. This schedule is no big deal for manufacturers who have most likely been consulted (and/or who lobbied).
