It's why I saved aggressively into index funds while maintaining a checking account balance that would make people quote 30 Rock at me because god forbid you maintain cash reserves in both FDIC and NCUA insured accounts strewn across multiple jurisdictions in case you need to move into a third floor walkup in... not Brookyln.
