Harsh, but fair. I spent the summers of 2008 and 2009 in AK, and since the movie had just came out, it was often brought up. Basically every Alaskan thought he was an idiot. He would have made it past the river if he had simply brought a map, because a bridge was literally just a couple miles south of where he got stranded.
