This is utterly stupid IMO. I find that these broadcast exclusivity deals are not compatible with todays tech and should be thrown out the window. They cause people to pirate content because they can't legally or easily purchase it in some regions. The NHL should offer all their games directly to anyone who wants them anywhere in the world which they do except for the US and Canada. If a cable company/tv station wants to carry them they do not get exclusivity.
