Bittorrent is reliable peer-to-peer file transfers by chopping up the entire payload into tiny bits that can be shared directly amongst all users. Dapps are decentralized systems to run complex logic (aka smart contracts) without a single point of failure and with whatever consensus mechanism is used by the underlying chain. There is no "benefit" over one or the other because they're completely different things.
