Thank you everyone for your advice - I didn't expect so many comments, much appreciated. I ended up doing the challenge because I thought it would be a good learning experience and a way to ask questions and learn (even) more about the company. I was offered the job straight away but turned it down because I felt the company was dysfunctional as many of you suggested, slow to make decisions and slightly chaotic. There were some nice people and unfortunately some (potentially/seemingly) toxic ones. Can't justify accepting it when the market is so good right now and there so many good options out there.
