I highly disagree about no skills, objectively speaking. I do have some experience overall. I have some 5,000h from the mentioned saas app I did in the past and the desktop app I'm working on, including 2,000h with TypeScript and React + whatever hours I have working on WordPress plugins. There's little I could learn from the link you posted (besides Ruby of course). Plus every project I ever worked on, was something that I designed from scratch.
But I totally understand that my resume kinda sucks, because I don't have any experience working a full-time job in this. With the first SaaS, it was really a full-time job at a time, but I see how it could be interpreted as a side project, depending on the recruiter. My recent experience, 2,000h on a desktop app, I cannot list that, unless I add it to the contracting item on my resume as "working on a desktop app 1 year under an NDA". I'm hoping the new side project I would build could turn it around and put more focus on the full-stack JavaScript part, but again, I'm aware it may still not be enough, that's why I'm asking.
