I think it is a really neat idea, and certainly couldn't do any harm. It is targeted to solve a specific problem that DOES occur on HN. Not necessarily every single day, but often enough that it would be nice to have a countermeasure. I do think that implicit honeypots are the way to go, rather than explicit.
