I come from a background of C and C++ on the Atmel Mega and XMega controllers. I tried using Micropython on ESP32 to control some small OLED displays which had an 8 bit bus with a 6800 style interface. It was too slow. I would still like to use micropython, but I need to figure out how to write certain pieces like the display lib in C.
