I don’t have a very good understanding of the legal framework here. Is there some reason the FBI was not supposed to handle this? I know there is a complex system involved and I’m not sure if the FBI is at fault or if the framework itself is severely in need of repair. Either way I hope this gets fixed so it doesn’t happen again.
