I'm in my second position at a startup and I couldn't be happier. - no constant meetings - no / less legacy code or dealing with systems that cannot be changed easily because they support a million customers - the problems feel (at least to me) like our problems instead of your shitty problem that I need to deal with It's not all roses, but substantially fewer meetings and directives from leaders I rarely see is half the battle.
