You are not alone in that experience! Tech has so many fields that those curious find it easy to jump all over the place and get eventually get bored and explore something else.
What I would say is, remember that whatever work is just work and there’s the rest of your life apart from work, so figuring out what do you want to do or who do you want to be would allow you to clarify and optimize whatever job to match that.
Some want to work on the latest, shiniest technology.
Some others on something stable and then be done and go back home to their families at the end of the day.
Some want to travel the world so a job that provides tons of flexibility is want they prefer (think freelancing)
And yet others want to optimize for the highest amount of $$ even if it means not being completely on board with what they do (for me that would be something like ad tech or crypto)
Even more, some are planning their retirement from tech to a slower pace lifestyle (I love the stories here about people going into farming or carpentry or whatever after tech… none of those fields have daily standups!!)
So figure out first who you want to be and then find an area in tech that matches that!
As an aside, this knowledge odd also what gives you a reason to endure the inevitable drudgery of any job, the job is not your life, is just a part of it and it can be justified if it’s serving the purpose of enabling everything else financially speaking.
Best of luck!
