I'm also seeing very bloated headcounts for startups. Startups that haven't even hit product-market fit now have 500+ people. I've been out of touch with the startup world the last few years, but something seems to have changed where otherwise mature companies with low-mid four-digit employee counts still work as "startups" (complete with the lack of profitability).
