Australian strip-searched, held in US prison, deported over obscure requirement
- anakaine 4y agoWhy an Australian with clear tourist travel plans would attempt to fly into the US through a legitimate port of entry with the intention to illegally immigrate is beyond me. Wages are lower, healthcare is stupidly expensive, far fewer workers protections, Australia has significantly decreasing rates of religiosity whilst the US seems to be in your face with the Jesus, school shootings, and the list goes on and on. This kid had family and work back home. Rules are rules though.
