If Taiwan didn't have the world's most advanced semiconducter industry, which China (and all other nations) rely on, China would have long ago attacked it.
So that's an easy example of how trade helps keeps peace.
- shlurpy 4y agoCounterfactual imaginings make for poor evidence. But ideology can make a fool of anyone.
- noselasd 4y agoThat's a made up scenario, it provides no example. We don't know what china would or wouldn't have done in that situation. One may as well argue if Taiwan didn't have the world's most advanced semiconducter industry, it would have voulentarely joined China.
