Use a basic password to store the vault and installer offsite, with a memorized string of random words that fit together in such a way that you will not forget, bury a paper in your garden. I recently caught myself hosting a password manager on a home server, with the data stored in sql on the same machine both credentials of which were on the self-hosted server.
