i've been using the same core i5 2500k that i bought in 2011 as my main work computer since then. i don't have any great financial hardship or anything, my work could easily have bought me a new computer. but it's been great, and there's been no reason to fix what ain't broken. i've been through a number of laptops in that timeframe though.
