Mostly it came from dual memory modules for intel cpus - you could have 2 dimms with 16 and 8 gb modules and have 24 GB Memory in total. But speed/bandwith-wise

Mostly it came from dual memory modules for intel cpus - you could have 2 dimms with 16 and 8 gb modules and have 24 GB Memory in total. But speed/bandwith-wise you would run better with either 2x8 or 2x16.
