Apple Announces M2 Chip with Support for Up to 24GB Memory
- SenHeng 4y agoIsn't 24GB a weird number? I thought the rule for RAM was to always double the previous value. 1 -> 2 -> 4 -> 8 -> 16 -> 32, etc
- JaceLightning 4y ago16+8
- freemint 4y agoOr 8+8+8. Since the modules are custom anyway 12+12 would be possible too
- kappuchino 4y agoMostly it came from dual memory modules for intel cpus - you could have 2 dimms with 16 and 8 gb modules and have 24 GB Memory in total. But speed/bandwith-wise you would run better with either 2x8 or 2x16.
