I'm currently working on a social Audio take tied into podcasting (which is very much alive). The idea is to have live podcasting a la Twitch or YouTube live, including chat and tipping. You can also invite other people to record the show with and even bring in members from the audience. At the end, it let's you download everything as Mp3 for post editing and publishing as a podcast. The live discussion will remain open as part of https://podbabble.com https://podbabble.com. The thesis is that while social Audio with proprietary recordings and time bound broadcasts failed, adding a social aspect to the fastgrowing podcasting space while retaining creator control and open formats will succeed.
