My laptop now connects to my monitor with a single USB-C cable, providing power, driving the 4K monitor and connecting to its built-in USB hub where the other peripherals are connected. It doesn't even have to be wireless because you'd want the phone connected to power anyway. I feel like any recent iPhone would be brilliant for this, though the RAM is on the short side, though with slightly more in recent Pros it could be a Pro only feature. Shame it seems like such an un-Apple move to not provide this value, that it will likely stay that way.
