Could you elaborate on this? I'm aware that magnetospheres protect atmospheres from solar wind stripping (e.g., https://science.nasa.gov/science-news/news-articles/earths-magnetosphere https://science.nasa.gov/science-news/news-articles/earths-m...), but have never heard of the role of moons, and can't find anything via Google right now.
