That's the Grafana philosophy but there's a trade-off between creating a customizable framework and creating something that just works out of the box with zero configuration. We've taken the zero config path for Robusta (https://github.com/robusta-dev/robusta https://github.com/robusta-dev/robusta) but we're focused only on kubernetes so it's a bit easier. Over time we're hoping to make it more and more pluggable.
