Hate paywalls? 12ft.io is the answer
- al_borland 4y agoSince I know I'll forget this in 10 minutes... I threw together this bookmarklet to use it as needed. javascript:void%20function(){location.href=%22http://12ft.io/%22+window.location.href}(); http://12ft.io/%22+window.location.href}();
- nottrobin 4y agoNice idea! Imma steal this :)
- maverick74 4y agoMeh... this is A LOT BETTER: https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-firefox-clean https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-firefox-clea... as soon as you access the page (in Firefox, naturally!) it automatically removes the paywall. It's like it's never been there! You can't even imagine you are crossing a paywall! :)
- maverick74 4y agowell... wonderful news. There is also a chrome addon: https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean
- nottrobin 4y agoYes I do know about this. I find 12ft more universally useful, as I personally do most of my reading on mobile, and also I like to share 12ft.io-based links to open the articles up for other people.
- haspoken 4y agoUnfortunately despite its claim "Bypass any paywall", it doesn't. Try articles on https://www.nytimes.com https://www.nytimes.com and you will get: 12ft has been disabled for this site
- munhitsu 4y agoeconomist has also been disabled for this site
