The thing is that British (mainly Tory) politicians who believe in privatisation do not care about basically anything other than tax bills or giving contracts to conveniently nepotistic ventures. Sometimes there is nothing wrong with this, but equally we have lost vast amounts of skills within our borders basically because privatisation is aimed at the wrong kind of efficiency.
