I'm a software engineer at a media organization. My colleagues and I organized a union during the pandemic, long before "return to office" was on anyone's agenda. I'm so glad we are bargaining collectively instead of bargaining one on one with our supervisors. I personally want to work in the office periodically, but without a union contract I'd fear a slow creep toward obligatory presenteeism.
