Nothing. Society has enough abundance that no one really needs codepence on people they don't like. Just find someone outside your you can relate to.

  Apparently human psychology does need some dependence. Even with somewhat unlikable people it is better than complete isolation.

    You can be dependent on a person of your choosing. You don't need to be dependent on the default parents/family in the modern era. The real problem today is making friends - which is incredibly hard in America - with it's vast distances.

      Even in Europe the biggest problem isn't distance but that you should be the other person's choosing, too. And I think people became too picky. Maybe it isn't the root cause, just my observation.
