I've considered upgrading each year for the past 3 or 4 years but each time I check prices I can never justify the cost. Given that 90% of my computer use is now on a work issued Macbook pro, I can't really justify spending 2-3k on a desktop upgrade if my current setup works fine for coding, very occasional gaming and multimedia consumption.
