I decided to stop checking my mail for three months to see what would happen. Eventually, they just put a little thing in my mailbox indicating that all mail would be returned to sender. That was fine with me until my family kept telling me they couldn't send me cards and such, so I went and resolved it with the post office. If not for that, I'd be completely mail-free in my home.
EDIT: I do get substantially less junkmail now though, so some of these organizations may have come to the conclusion I no longer live here.
- asdff 4y agoMy mailperson wrote on a scrap of junkmail in sharpie to start checking my mail more
- MiddleEndian 4y agoAll of my very necessary™ professional™ mail goes to my PO box, which I also don't check very often. Did you end up checking your mail more often?
- betwixthewires 4y agoI haven't checked my mail in 2 years. Its great.
- chrononaut 4y agoWhat do you do about jury duty notifications? (If you live in the US)
- stjohnswarts 4y agoIt would get returned to sender and I guess they'd assume you are no longer there? They can't do anything if you never received notice.
