This 'unauthorized' statue [0] of the Goddess of Democracy - on the campus of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) - was removed in December 2021. Maybe they couldn't find the Office of Statue Authorization. [0][https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-59752089 https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-59752089] Somehow I missed this event last Dec. 4 [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China:_Democracy_That_Works https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China:_Democracy_That_Works] when PRC issued a white paper avowing "Full Process Democracy". Maybe it explains the statue-process.
