Senior Software Engineer, Full-stack. 11+ YOE. Full-stack cloud web development at "The Rainforest Bookstore". I've primarily worked with Java and Javascript but I'm a true polyglot and lifelong learner; I pick up languages incredibly fast to do whatever needs doing and get to launch. I've built full-stack solutions (iOS & Android & Web + AWS serverless) that handle 1.2 billion requests/day (peaks at 1500+ reqs/s on an avg day) resulting in millions of dollars to thousands of great causes. Location: Seattle, WA, USA Remote: Yes Willing to relocate: No Technologies: 10 years full-stack production experience with Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and Objective-C. AWS in particular Serverless at FAANG-scale: AWS Lambda and DynamoDB. Worked with web, backend, iOS and Android. Tech lead, mentor, and interviewer. I'm familiar with and can ramp-up quickly on Go and React. P.S. Currently learning Rust to take serverless to the next level! Résumé/CV: email Email: valbaca at gmail dot com Very interested in tech for social good and sustainability (e.g. climate change). NOT interested in fintech, blockchain, bitcoin, military/NSA/ICE, or "just" building data graphs.
