I wonder how much of dev teams using only 5% of the possible tooling is due to ignorance and how much is due to being burnt by believing claims about the magic

I wonder how much of dev teams using only 5% of the possible tooling is due to ignorance and how much is due to being burnt by believing claims about the magic of tooling that wasn't so magical (or was magical until the vendor went bankrupt), so they just stick to the classics.
