- UncleEntity 4y agoMosul is up in the Kurdish area I believe. Never made it that far but have been through Erbil a couple times delivering vehicles to the South Korean troops stationed there. The Korean troops said they would go to Mosul I’m sort of remembering. Even back in ‘04 the Kurdish region was pretty safe, people smiled and waved as we drove by which was a nice change from having stuff thrown through the windshield and people trying to kill you. They even made us be considerate drivers after some joe put a few rounds through some mayor’s kids engine for not getting out of the convoy and he made a fuss over it.
