Antidotally I can confirm that it is possible toss a coin like that. It helps have a larger coin and to impart it with relatively little rotation.

- TedDoesntTalk 4y agoI can consistently flip a US quarter and get the desired outcome. I have not measured accuracy but is definitely 80% or more. This can be with a quarter I just picked up at a store… no special wear.
