As a (young) PM - yes! How I wish engineers in my little company expressed a little more curiosity about our users and how the things we make solve their actual problems. Would be a huge load off my mind. However, I can’t imagine our engineers taking over my job entirely and being able to just do both. They’re just not the type of people who could handle talking to the marketing and sales people. Not to mention the clusterfuck that is our actual users and use cases.
