I took Amtrack around the US: Sacramento -> Santa Barbara -> LA -> New Orleans -> New York -> Boston -> Syracuse -> Chicago -> Sacramento. I didn't buy the Rail Pass because I wasn't sure before I started that I'd enjoy it so much.
