Every board meeting now probably whittles down to complaints about the CEO's erratic behavior and then a review of earnings.
The world has gone into survival mode and that creates the worst kinds of people and products... Many of these companies running on profit auto pilot will fail, and that may be the best thing to happen because they really stopped doing the good they were created for in bids to attract and codify investors.
They'll hopefully be replaced by better companies that bring back innovation. We really haven't been innovating game-changing IT for years now in my opinion, I think that disruption will only happen when these legacy companies get accountable product owners that know what they are doing and when they stop looking primarily and only at the wrong (ROI) cues for product development.
