The first time I saw a bald eagle was from the observation car of the empire builder along the Mississippi south of the twin cities! I hope you get the opportunity as well. OTOH I used the empire builder purely for utility for a time, and the price wasn’t bad to go about 70 miles, but several times about 10 years ago it was 16, that’s right 16, hours late for an hourish journey.
