This is what happens when a for profit company LARPs as an ethical one. On one hand they talk about diversity and on the other they desperately hire people they can pay less from areas of the world where "diversity is our strength" isn't really the norm. So in the end the company makes more money thanks to the cheap labor and it becomes even less inclusive and diverse.

- Zigurd 4y agoThat's pretty harsh. Google would have no trouble hosting a police reform discussion because they have no local PD fearmongering through highly dependent local media. They do have a number of employees who could be made uncomfortable by a discussion of caste. That's hypocrisy. That's doing the easy things. But it isn't an indictment of for profit enterprise.
