it looks very similar to notion, what's the difference?
- drakonka 4y agoLooks like they cover this as the last part of the FAQ: https://capacities.io/faq https://capacities.io/faq
- sAbakumoff 4y agowell, their response is basically "try it out and find out!". I am not sure that it's the best way to express the difference though.
- steffenbleher 4y agoYes, we got a lot of design inspirations from Notion. Here's the big difference: Notion is great as a team workspace and to get things done while capacities is geared towards taking notes and building a knowledge base. Imagine you take hundreds to thousands of notes. You'll have diminishing returns if you try to organize them in a hierarchy or rigid databases. At capacities we take a different approach: You just create ideas, questions, books, notes, .. and connect them afterwards with related ideas. By that you create a network of thoughts that becomes more valuable the more knowledge and ideas you add. It's a huge difference in how you take notes and on top how think and develop ideas.
- sAbakumoff 4y agothanks, dude. I fail to understand this explanation, though. my bad. I guess your app is cool and maybe even "RAD", but average people might fail to understand it.
- steffenbleher 4y agoThat's great feedback, thanks! Our product and the explanations are currently tailored to heavy note-takers.
