I know that Woit has a lot of traction on HN but I thought I'd just mention that in the theoretical physics community, Woit is widely considered a crackpot. Source: I was a professional researcher in theoretical physics, before I decided I couldn't stand the academia.
- chmaynard 4y agoAd hominem attacks (name-calling) and gossip are not welcome here. If you believe Woit is a crackpot, then at least take ownership of this remark.
