Jury awards Depp 15M; Heard 2M in countersuit
- tartoran 4y agoJust curious, how would these awards cancel eachother out if Amber Heard needs to receive from Depp less than she has to pay out to him? And what would happen if Amber Heard is unable to pay due to bancrupcy?
- IncRnd 4y agoShe probably can't discharge defamation through bankruptcy, since that includes actual malice.
- mrsmee89 4y agoAs someone who has been in the position of being guilty until proven innocent, I'm elated about this. I hope it signals a shift in our zeitgeist toward requiring cogent evidence instead of assuming guilt.
