This is heartbreaking in so many ways. I'm a trustee of a charity that relies on WhatsApp and Facebook to organise itself and a huge sceptic of Meta and keen for us not to rely on them. However, in local community groups it's hard to advocate for something because "better privacy" when the opposite argument is "everyone uses it". Meta's tools are somehow simultaneously inclusive and very exclusionary.
