Self-deception allows people to lie
- pixl97 4y agoYou can lie to anyone, and get away with it. But the moment you lie to yourself you'll eventually get caught in a trap your lies create.
- stevenjgarner 4y agoI was once forced to testify in court about an individual, and I carefully explained how the individual asserted one thing, while the generally accepted truth was another. His attorney hammered at me "so you are calling my client a liar?!" I said "no a lie as an intentional mis-statement of the truth. I think your client actually believes what he is saying."
